Cryptocurrency Scam

Ms F contacted us regarding an online cryptocurrency trading platform. She had lost a substantial amount of currency and the trader who arranged the transaction for her was no longer responding to her attempts at contacting him. 

We were able to prove that the online trading platform was in fact a clone of a legitimate site. We found several sites which contained identical content. 

Using a variety of methods, we ascertained that the fraudulent site had been set up in the USA. 

We then searched the internet archive and found a contact name and address in an early iteration of the website. 

Using our network of international contacts, we were able to track down the trader to an address in the USA.
